IEN intermediate warehouse keeps low and medium activity waste.

IEN has a specific sector for the management of the radioactive waste produced at the Institute and also for the treatment and storage of radioactive waste generated in all the radioactive facilities in Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo and other states, if necessary. All activity in the waste area follows the orientation of CNEN’s technical norms.
