Analysis and determinations:
- Thermoluminescent dosimetry
- Gamma spectrometry
- Radiometric survey
- Measurements of radonium
- Smear test
Courses and training:
All courses are directed, preferably,
to the internal public or to CNEN workers. However, the participation
of representatives of companies and organizations is not discarded,
especially those linked to the nuclear sector.
- Radiological Protection Basic
Notions*
- Radiological Protection for Occupationally
Exposed Workers*
- Work Safety Basic Notions
- Fire Prevention and Fighting
- Fire Protection in Nuclear and
Radioactive Facilities*
- First Aid
*The radioprotection training consists
of theoretical and practical classes about human and environmental
protection measures concerning undesired radiation effects.
Application:
Workers who handle radioactive material
in industries, hospitals, universities, research institutions or
perform mining activities, including firefighters, physicists and
physicians.
For the worker’s safety, it is necessary
to know the radiological risks and radioprotection procedures. The
level of detail of this training varies according to the performed
activities, to the characteristics of the radioactive sources and
to the facility type.
